ProTisserie Spindle Upgrade kit instructions
This upgrade kit replaces the old spindle adapters that came with your ProTisserie unit. The new design is made of stronger material, and includes a locking collar which can be used to help hold the spindle in place.
The kit includes all the required tools and hardware to complete the installation, which should only take you a few minutes. Please contact us if you have any questions or problems.
1) Get the ProTisserie ready for the change by rotating the spindle until the flat part of the motor shaft is up. The flat part aligns with the hold on the spindle adapter. Remove old spindle by gently pulling it off the Pro-Tisserie unit, pulling AWAY from the motor.
2) Align the new spindle with the flat on the shaft. The set screw on the spindle will go on the flat part of the shaft.
3) While installing the spindle, slip the retaining collar over the shaft, between the front and rear frames, as shown in the photo.
4) Bring the collar up against the front frame, and tighten the set screw until it grips the shaft of the spindle. The collar should not be tight up against the front frame, leave a small gap. DO NOT over tighten the set screw- It just needs to be snug. Over tightening will just cause breakage of the plastic parts.That's all there is to it- You're ready to spin!
